…is the most fitting word I could think of for this post. Work has been mental — in a good way though. Got a Selfridges event tomorrow that I am helping to run (mad hatters tea event at the Sanderson hotel!), fashion dinner next week (where we’ll talk about digital insights in the luxury fashion industry), and starting with Jamie Oliver and Sweaty Betty as new clients next month which is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I am actually in love with Sweaty Betty’s workout gear. I’m not gonna lie, being Canadian and all has sort of made me biased towards lululemon but after attending Sweaty Betty’s press day yesterday I fell in love. They really embrace fashion in workout/dance/yoga gear. I’m eyeing a layered crop tank at the minute and their dip dye (obviously) capri leggings which are already sold out online. Bummer.

On another note, I am really embracing this sunny weatha. I thought I would take a few outfit pics while it lasts, which, in London usually isn’t for very long. These were taken on the weekend around Portobello road and in Chelsea after brunch at Bluebird cafe. I do love a good brunch.

Acne Archive

by laurenlux

The shopping highlight of Copenhagen was going to Acne Archive. OH MY GOD. It is incredible. Not only do they have 70% off previous seasons collections… BUT they have unworn/unused samples from the current season. E.G. I bought a bag that I fell in love with in the Acne store but couldn’t afford for the life of me for 50% OFF at Archives. I guess it’s fair to say outlets can be hit or miss but this one was a HIT. Best hit of my life. If only the Acne Lila boot was there too.

1. American Retro jacket

2. Acne Canada scarf

3. Etoile Isabel Marant jumper

Acne Archive — if you don’t go you are MISSING OUT. Do the right thing.

Geometric Love

by laurenlux

Help. I need all of this. Now. As you can tell, all I can think of lately is black and white (with neon accents). I am mainly in love with Alexander Wang’s new SS13 collection. Everything is geometric, structured, cut-out, and most importantly black and white. The Acne buckle boots below are also currently the apple of my eye. I ran into a friend who works at Acne the other day and he was with a girl that had them in black. I WILL hunt these down. It pains me not to have them. If I could have any outfit, it would be the below.

1. Alexander Wang cut out t-shirt

2. Juliet & Company necklace

3. Acne Jacket

4. ASOS cuffs

5. Alexander Wang Glow in the dark shoulder bag

6. Acne Lila ankle boots

Parisian Inspiration

by laurenlux

My style is always inspired by the environment I’m in — whether it be Milan, Paris, London or my native home Toronto. It’s interesting how I always find myself wanting to purchase culture-prominent items depending where I am situated. For example, when I lived in Milan the apple of my eye was the Miu Miu ruffled leather hobo bag, which I got and never wore once I moved to London. I know that this was heavily influenced by the culture in Milan since I only wore it there! I actually just sold it on eBay to fund my Celine Mini Luggage purchase which you can see in some of my previous posts.

Since moving to London my style has become much more edgy/street than pretty/girly which would better suit a Miu Miu bag. When it comes to Paris, all I do is wear dresses. Here is one of my favourite Parisian inspired outfits.

1. Jacket – Opening Ceremony

2. Dress – Sandro

3. Bag – Alexander Wang

4. Necklace – vintage

5. Shoes – Toga

Love these boots, serious love at first sight when I saw them at Matches a while back.

Hat – Topshop

Fashion Weeks Wrap Up

by laurenlux

Currently writing this from St. Pancras International where I will soon be boarding a train to PAREE! I realize it may not make sense why I would be going to Paris on the last day of Paris Fashion Week. Going for pleasure rather than work though, and cannot WAIT to indulge in endless croissants starting… well… the second I get off the train. My fingers are crossed that my friend will be greeting me with one.

Here are some photos once again from the lovely Another Garcon. This was the second last day of London Fashion Week when I had the pleasure of attending Pringle of Scotland, Michael Van Der Ham, and Fashion East. After attending 6 shows (which is nothing compared to some bloggers) I was done with fashion week and decided to watch the rest via streaming.
