Carven Craving

by laurenlux

Summer in London is at it’s finest (literally 28 degrees every day) and to celebrate, I purchased these colourful/crazy Carven wedge-forms and they were 70% off from Matches – steal! What more could a girl ask for? My trip to Southeast Asia was incredible and ever since I’ve had the travel bug – so I’m off to Croatia Wednesday for Soundwave music festival. I’ve got lots of beautiful SE Asia pictures to post so stay tuned! I would also highly recommend checking out Matches sale, Net-A-Porter sale, and The Outnet because there are still some amazing deals on. Spotted some denim skirts, Opening Ceremony sandals, and Mary K/Current Elliot pieces for 70% off!

Monsters in the Park

by laurenlux

The weather in London was incredible before I left, which  called for lots of park time. Luckily I live walking distance from both Hyde and Regents park so I often go after work or on the weekend! My ideal day is renting bikes in the park, having a picnic, listening to some good muziiic, and reading a book.  Some say that London has no summer but I think the past week or so has proved quite the contrary, plus they say this summer they’ll actually have one! I agree it’s not typical weather for the summer months, but it’s definitely at least spring. I’ve mentioned House of Holland being one of my favourite brands, and the monsters shirt below is one of the most interesting pieces I own, in my opinion. I do think it’s quite man-repelling though — men just don’t understand why I would ever want monsters on my shirt. Items in the below outfit are.. shoes – ebay, dress – boutique, necklace – freedom by topshop, sunnies – ray ban.

Acne Archive

by laurenlux

The shopping highlight of Copenhagen was going to Acne Archive. OH MY GOD. It is incredible. Not only do they have 70% off previous seasons collections… BUT they have unworn/unused samples from the current season. E.G. I bought a bag that I fell in love with in the Acne store but couldn’t afford for the life of me for 50% OFF at Archives. I guess it’s fair to say outlets can be hit or miss but this one was a HIT. Best hit of my life. If only the Acne Lila boot was there too.

København

by laurenlux

This past weekend I jet-setted to Copenhagen, or shall I say København (hehe). I am now in love with all things Danish. We stayed at an airbnb flat in Vesterbro, an up and coming area of Copenhagen. We hung out and shopped mostly around Vesterbro, Norrebro, and Indre By (central Copenhagen). Resisting purchasing every item that caught my eye caused me great pain and suffering. I know it’s a blessing in disguise, but I swear, shoes and clothes are haunting my thoughts and dreams. Help. I did indulge in a few bits, some you’ll see in upcoming posts and below. I must also mention that I highly recommend having brunch at Paludan or Granola. Next post I write will be a round up of Danish brands to keep in mind/stalk/buy/stop me from buying/etc.

Rainshine

by laurenlux

This happens a lot in London – sun showers, and I have to admit it’s quite a beautiful sight! Apparently I am a very lucky girl since it was raining basically the entire time that I was on vacation! I went running today and it started pouring down on me, can’t really complain though as it was quite the effective cool down. My time at Starworks has sadly come to and end, so I am currently in search of a new position in London. That’s right – I’ve decided to stay in this beautifully rainy city – I can’t seem to get enough of it! My next couple of weeks will be filled with flat hunting, job searching, and endless networking. Life is exciting my friends. I made it over to Brick Lane this past Sunday to grab some streetstyle shots which should show up on MTV Fora in the next day or two. Here is a sneak peak of some streetstyle photos and my last days at Starworks:
